Succeeded as a commercial oriented cinema writer and then as a director with hit ‘Patas,’ now Anil Ravipudi is geared up for the release of new movie ‘Supreme.’ Starring Sai Dharam Tej as hero and Raashi Khanna as heroine, ‘Supreme’ is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish. In fact, ‘Surpeme’ is the title honored to Chiranjeevi in 1980s and the same used as cinema title for Sai is mere coincidence.

But, Anil says that Sai’s character in the film is named as Balu and ‘Supreme’ is the name of taxi which hero drives. Naming a car and using it for massively shot breathtaking action sequences is a formula used in mid 80 and 90s. Coming to villain part, Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishen and comedian Jenny as his sidekick reminds us of Rao Gopala Rao, Allu Rama Lingaiah or Kota, Babu Mohan comic jodi.  Onto heroine Rashi Khanna, again Ani gives a clue.

‘Raashi character in ‘Supreme’ is inspired by Radhika’s character in ‘Donga Mogudu.’ She will leave the audiences in splits,’ again an inspiration from old commercial films. All in all, Anil Ravipudi seems to be a keen observer and staunch follower of golden olden movies. ‘I grew up watching commercial cinema and my aim is to just keep on entertaining with a new story every time,’ Anil further adds.
