Student protests in Hyderabad University are not diminishing and now stage is set for Telangana CM KCR and PM Modi to fight over it. Many felt that CM KCR adopted a soft approach on Rohit Vemula's suicide issue as he and his TRS party is trying its best to join PM Modi's cabinet at the centre.

Right after Rohit Vemula's suicide everyone started demanding VC Appa Rao's recall. VC Appa Rao who went on leave recently resumed charge and this triggered huge protests.

Police arrested violent students and with the University authorities closing the mess and stopping water supply, NHRC sent notices. Opposition parties raised the issue in the assembly.

KCR replying in the assembly said he will soon take up the matter with PM Modi in two days time and find solution. He added University of Hyderabad doesn't fall under the purview of state government.
