Sonia to snatch AP from BJP?

Keeping aside regional parties, when it comes to national parties, if there is any party which ruled Andhra 

Pradesh for a long time, it is only Congress. Even from 2004 to 2014 it is Andhra Pradesh which boosted the 

prospects of the Congress at national level to gain power. 

With its hurried strategy without proper ground work, Congress was unable to balance Telangana statehood 

aspirations with genuine grievances of Seemandhra. Hence finally Congress couldn’t gain much in Telangana while 

losing AP completely.

It is BJP under Modi wave and Chandrababu’s experience that was trusted by the people of AP. But the manner in 

which Congress party cornered BJP in parliament speaks a lot about how much BJP is set to lose soon in AP.



The Congress boss Sonia Gandhi is all set to change the direction of Congress party in Andhra Pradesh with 

aggressive campaigns at national level supporting special status for AP as well as special package, Polavaram 

and separate railway zone for Vizag!
